All Ways CaboMile-wide smiles, playful laughter, and more than a few tears of joy characterized Codi and Dakin’s Casa Mariposa wedding celebration this past October. Nestled on the white sandy shores of the Punta Bella beachfront community, the property boasts luscious tropical grounds, luxurious interiors, and epic views of the Sea of Cortez. This fun-loving couple designed an intimate celebration packed full of scrumptious food, delicious drinks, and the very best music; Let’s just say that memories were made!
Codi chose to get her prep on in the company of her closest peeps. This 5 strong bride squad attended to her every need, as Cynthia from Cabo’s Senza Salon got to work. Our bride opted for a polished updo with face-framing waves, a defined smokey eye, and dramatic lashes. Her gorgeous girls were all about loose waves and natural makeup, the perfect complement to their peachy pink and mint green cocktail dresses. Doing their best to stay out of the way, the boy’s getting ready session was more about shots and shenanigans. Dakin’s pale blue suit and polished leather accessories were the epitome of casual class, and his boys brought classy kitsch back in the form of suspenders and shades. As go-time neared, this banging bridal party posed for our cameras, picked up their bouquets and were ready to hit the sand.
When it came to adorning the villa’s beachfront for their nuptials, Codi and Dakin proved that less really is more. White garden chairs faced expansive views of the Sea of Cortez, interrupted only by a simple, bamboo arch adorned with tropical foliage. In a sweet ceremony delivered by a family friend, Codi and Dakin declared their love before their nearest and dearest, a touching moment full of hand-holding, kisses, joy, and laughter. With the formalities taken care of, it was time to party.
Our post-ceremony sunset session was one of my favorites to date. As guests sipped fruity cocktails on the villa’s gorgeous terrace, I stole our bride and groom away to the beach. Their genuine love and natural ease with one another were creative gold and kept our camera’s clicking until it was time to join the party. They ate, they drank, and they ate some more, as Catering to Cabo served a delicious meal followed by a late-night snack. After the formal toasts drew both laughter and tears, the intimate cake cutting marked the opening of the dance floor. DJ Gaston turned up the volume on the evening and had guests dancing until last call.
A special thank you to All Ways Cabo for ensuring guests got to and from safely and on time. To Codi and Dakin, your love is infectious and you were such a pleasure to shoot. I hope you enjoy your images just as much as I did capturing them.
