Brooke and Ryan’s Flora Farms wedding on December 1st was an expertly designed soiree of all things glamorous, trending and downright perfect. Exquisitely designed by Amy Abbott, the event kept Brooke and Ryan’s love for one another front and center, while also delivering an unforgettable experience to family and friends.
Brooke chose Cabo San Lucas’ premier luxury resort, The Resort at Pedregal, as home base for her wedding weekend, and it was amongst all of that lovely extravagance that we began our day. The Resort at Pedregal is situated inside downtown Cabo San Lucas, opening onto the rocky shores of the Pacific Ocean. In the bridal suite, Brooke and her bridesmaids got makeup magic by Neysa Berman´s Blanc Bridal Salon, and popped champagne before the bride donned her intricate, lace bodice gown with cutouts by Pronovias (shoutout to the gorgeous Jimmy Choo stilettos), and her mermaid silhouette was striking. On the other side of the property, Ryan relaxed with the boys in a smartly cut and perfectly put together suit by in Ermenegildo Zenga. Come mid-afternoon our couple was looking polished and perfect, but the best was yet to come.
As go time drew near, guests were transported to the now famous Flora Farms, a working produce farm and restaurant/bar renowned for its delicious cocktails, organic dishes, and spectacular scenery. Surrounded by rolling green pastures, towering palm trees, and a radiant blue sky, these lovebirds said “I do” in a sugary sweet ceremony designed by Cabo’s own Reverand Diego Vidal. Amy Abbott‘s ability to bring together the best of the best was on show from the get-go, and we especially adored the cute (and practical!) signage by Serendipity and the earthy ceremony arch of curly willow, foliage, and babies breath designed by Let it Be events.
As the formalities drew to a close it was time for Brooke and Ryan to let their hair down. The impressive ceremony setup was trumped by what can only be described as a jaw-dropping reception space. Guests dined on tablescapes almost too perfect to touch, beneath a vast ceiling of sparkling lights and surrounded by deep red, pale pink and burgundy bouquets. Ever the star of the show, Brooke made a dramatic dress change, wowing once again in a high waisted, full ivory skirt and long-sleeved lace bodice. Guests were bought to tears as the father of the bride toasted his daughter and her new groom before DJ Alex Alanis turned up the volume and guests hit the dancefloor!
We love when our brides opt for a second shoot, whether it be an engagement session, urban shoot or trash the dress, and Brooke and Ryan were all in for the latter! Hangovers nursed and breakfast packed away, they joined us on route to Balandra Beach, a secluded paradise just over an hour from San Jose del Cabo. No fear was the motto as Brooke and Ryan took advantage of roadside landscapes, before throwing themselves, dress and suites included, into the crystal clear Balandra waters. What resulted was frame after frame of photography gold. They were truly fearless!
While Brooke and Ryan stayed true to their love of Cabo and hired local vendors in order to create their dream wedding, they did have some help back home. Be In Love Designs produced their beautiful invitations, and the talented team at Bells and Whistles took care of their stationary needs. As they relaxed back into life at home, we worked double time in the studio to have their wedding video and trash the dress album ready in time for Christmas!
Congratulations Brooke and Ryan. Thank you for taking those seemingly random roadside shots that produced winning frames, and for sharing your energy with this very grateful team of photographers.
